"Second Chances” is a photography exhibit presented in partnership with Seeing for Ourselves, Inc. This show will display the participatory photography created by young NYC probationers.

This exhibit creates an opportunity for the community to view compelling artwork created by at-risk youth. Through a series of workshops, gallery visits, and a symposium, the IAC/IAM is committed to sharing the power of storytelling through participatory photography. The young probationers who created these inspired artworks have changed their lives. They will leave the justice system and return to the community with new skills and new perspectives they gained through the creation of their personal work. By bringing this exhibit to the IAM, and the community at large, we hope to bring to light this crisis our at-risk youth face.
